Laser Treatment for Spider Veins, Rosacea & Facial Redness in Millburn, NJ
Visible facial veins, a persistent flush of redness, tiny broken capillaries around the nose and cheeks, and stubborn red or brown spots are some of the most common concerns our Millburn and Short Hills patients want to address. Concealer can hide them for a few hours, but it does nothing about what you are actually seeing in the mirror.
Concerns We Treat
Facial Spider Veins & Broken Capillaries
These are small, dilated blood vessels that sit close to the surface of the skin, often appearing across the cheeks, around the nose, and on the chin. They can look like fine red threads or tiny web-like clusters, and they tend to become more noticeable over time.
Rosacea & Persistent Facial Redness
Rosacea shows up as flushing, diffuse redness, and visible vessels that do not fade on their own. Because rosacea behaves differently from person to person, treatment is tailored to your individual pattern rather than a single fixed approach.
Hemangiomas, Port Wine Stains & Telangiectasia
Targeted laser energy can also address other vascular marks, including small hemangiomas, port wine stains, and telangiectasia on the face. Each one is assessed individually so the treatment plan fits the specific concern.
On the Legs
Small surface spider veins on the legs, the fine red or purple threads visible just beneath the skin, can also be treated. These are cosmetic, surface vessels. Larger, bulging varicose veins are a different concern that this laser does not treat, and we are glad to point you in the right direction if that is what you are noticing.
How Dye-VL Laser Vein Treatment Works
Menon Medispa treats vascular and pigment concerns with the Dye-VL laser, a focused light therapy designed for exactly this kind of work.
During treatment, the laser delivers gentle pulses of light that are absorbed by the pigment inside the targeted vessel or spot. That energy heats the vessel just enough to close it, and over the following days and weeks your body naturally reabsorbs it. Because the light is drawn specifically to the vessel, the surrounding skin is left intact. Treatments are performed in our Millburn office under physician supervision.

What to Expect
Sessions are brief and performed right in our office. Most concerns respond best to a short series of 2 to 4 treatments spaced a few weeks apart, and many people notice gradual improvement as the treated vessels fade. Afterward you may see mild redness or a temporary darkening of the vessels and spots that were treated, which usually settles within a few days. A complimentary consultation is the best place to start, so we can look at your skin and confirm the right plan for you.

Frequently asked questions
What vein and vascular concerns can laser treatment address?
Our Dye-VL laser treats a range of surface vascular and pigment concerns, including facial spider veins, broken capillaries, persistent facial redness and rosacea, hemangiomas, port wine stains, telangiectasia, small leg spider veins, and red or brown spots. These are surface, cosmetic concerns. Larger bulging or varicose veins are not treated with this laser and are best evaluated separately, which we are happy to discuss at your consultation.
How does laser vein treatment work?
The Dye-VL laser delivers gentle pulses of light that are absorbed by the pigment inside the targeted vessel or spot. That energy heats the vessel just enough to close it, and over the following days and weeks your body gradually reabsorbs it. Because the light is drawn specifically to the vessel, the surrounding skin is left intact.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people see the best results from a short series of 2 to 4 treatments, spaced a few weeks apart. The exact number depends on the concern being treated and how your skin responds. Your provider will confirm a recommended plan during your complimentary consultation.
Is there any downtime after treatment?
Downtime is minimal. You may notice some mild redness in the treated area, or a temporary darkening of the vessels and spots that were treated, which typically settles within about 1 to 3 days. Most people return to their normal routine right away.
Who is a good candidate?
Most people bothered by surface facial veins, broken capillaries, redness or rosacea, or small red and brown spots are good candidates. A complimentary consultation lets us confirm that laser treatment is right for your skin and concern. The treatment is not performed during pregnancy or over an active skin infection, and it is helpful to let us know if you have used isotretinoin recently so timing can be confirmed.
How much does laser vein treatment cost?
Pricing starts at $89 for a spot treatment of 1 to 5 red or brown spots. Dye-VL facial vein treatment is $250 and Dye-VL for rosacea is $350, with hyperpigmentation options for the face, neck, and décolleté also available. You can see the full price list on this page, and your consultation is complimentary.
