Our laser is suitable for all skin types. It targets the pigment in the hair, so it works best on dark hair and does not work on gray, white, or red hair, which has no pigment to target. Darker skin tones can be a little more sensitive, which is exactly why we always perform a patch test with your aesthetician before starting a full session. We also do not treat during pregnancy or immediately after waxing, and laser tends to be less effective for clients with PCOS. Most clients describe laser hair removal as a mild, quick sensation, often compared to the snap of a rubber band against the skin. Comfort depends on the area, so sensitive spots like the bikini line or upper lip can feel a little more than larger areas like the legs, and most people find it far more tolerable than waxing. Most clients do a series of 6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. You will typically notice treated hairs shedding over the one to two weeks after each session, with a clear reduction partway through the series and the fullest result once it is complete. Laser hair removal provides permanent hair reduction: many clients see their unwanted hair stay gone for good, while others keep it dramatically reduced with occasional maintenance. About 6-8 weeks after your series we check how the hair is growing back and decide together whether you want any maintenance sessions. Because everyone's hair grows on its own cycle, results vary from person to person and your provider personalizes your plan.

Always shave the area beforehand. If you have waxed, wait about 4 weeks first so there is hair in the follicle for the laser to target, and avoid heavy sun exposure and self-tanner before your visit. Afterwards, wear SPF and limit sun exposure, especially in the first 24-48 hours. Mild redness or sensitivity is normal and usually settles within a day or two. Between sessions, shave only, never wax or pluck, because removing the hair from the follicle defeats the purpose of the treatment. Underarms are a medium area, so a single session is $65 and the six-session package is $350. Each session takes about 30 minutes. The bikini line and full face are also medium areas at the same price.

A Brazilian is $150 for a single session and $800 for the six-session package. It sits in our large area tier, where most areas are $600 for six sessions, so the Brazilian is priced separately. Sessions run about 45 minutes.
